Connecting Rouhi to ARCA step by step

To issue invoices with a CAE, ARCA has to recognize your computer. That is done with a digital certificate: a file that identifies your CUIT. Rouhi generates it for you and leaves you only the steps that must happen on ARCA’s website.

If you already have a certificate (a .pfx or .p12 file with its password), you load it under Settings, Fiscal, and you are done. If not, follow these steps.

1. Request the certificate from Rouhi

Under Settings, Fiscal, choose “Connect with ARCA” and “I don’t have one, or I’m not sure”. Rouhi creates the key and the certificate request, and saves a .csr file where you tell it to.

The screen shows the next steps, with a button to copy them. If your accountant does them, you forward them as they are.

2. Enable it on ARCA’s website

With your clave fiscal, open “Administración de Certificados Digitales”, create an alias and upload the .csr file. ARCA gives you back the certificate (.crt) to download.

Then, in “Administrador de Relaciones de Clave Fiscal”, authorize that certificate to use the electronic invoicing service. It is the part most people forget.

3. Back in Rouhi, finish

On the same screen choose “Continue” and load the .crt you downloaded. Rouhi pairs it with the key it kept, reads your CUIT and brings the data ARCA reports: business name, address and tax status.

From then on your points of sale appear on their own and every invoice comes out with a CAE; if you have not created a point of sale at ARCA yet, Rouhi tells you which kind to create. A month before the certificate expires, Rouhi warns you so you renew it without rushing.

And if something fails?

ARCA’s errors are shown as ARCA returns them, with their reason. The most common are the service not authorized in the Administrador de Relaciones and a certificate from the test environment, which Rouhi flags with a notice.
